New Frisco Restaurants Opening This Fall: What to Expect

For years, planning dinner in Frisco meant one of two calls: pick a chain casual near Stonebriar or make the drive south. That calculus is breaking. Over the last twelve months, a specific group of Dallas restaurateurs, the kind who usually keep their flagships inside the LBJ loop, have started signing leases here. Not test locations. Flagships.

We spend our workdays across Collin and Denton counties, and the conversation with clients keeps drifting back to the same question: what actually just opened, and what's worth walking into first? Here is our read on the map right now, from the Frisco team at ProMoves.

What Already Landed in the Last Twelve Months

The most consequential recent arrival was not a chain. Musume, from Dallas-based Rock Libations Restaurant Group, opened in September 2025 at 3625 The Star Boulevard, Suite 315. The second-floor space runs about 6,000 square feet and covers lunch, happy hour, and dinner, with the operator claiming the region's largest sake and Japanese whisky selection. If you have driven past The Star at night and wondered why the upper floor was suddenly the busy one, this is why.

Hudson House, the East Coast-inspired concept from Vandelay Hospitality Group, planted its seventh DFW location in Frisco last year. It is a suburban debut for the brand, which had previously kept close to Dallas proper.

Two national arrivals filled out the first half of 2026. Portillo's broke ground on its first Frisco location on FM-423 near Gordon Heights in December 2025 and targeted a Q1 2026 opening at roughly 6,250 square feet, next to Freddy's Frozen Custard and Black Rifle Coffee. Slice House by Tony Gemignani, from the thirteen-time World Pizza Champion, was scheduled to open at 5995 Preston Road in January 2026 with slices, whole pies, pasta, and Italian desserts.

The quieter opening worth flagging: Bread Zeppelin, the Dallas-born salad-in-a-baguette concept, cut its ribbon on its eleventh Texas location on June 5, 2026 alongside the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, with a portion of opening-weekend proceeds going to The Miracle League of Frisco. Hours run 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It is a lunch option that solves the "we have thirty minutes" problem near the tollway.

One more local note that changes the picture at Stonebriar: Flix Brewhouse Frisco earned a gold medal at the 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship for its Cumbersome Blonde in the Field Beer category, contributing to Flix's record 17 medals across the chain. Since each Flix location is judged independently, that is a Frisco brew team winning on its own merit.

Why HALL Park's Fall Openings Are the Real Tell

The single most telling announcement of the year is at HALL Park. Headington Companies, the Dallas hospitality group behind The Joule hotel and Forty Five Ten, is bringing two of its Design District concepts to 3101 Gaylord Parkway with a fall 2026 target: Commissary and Tango Room.

Commissary resists a single label. It runs as cafe, bakery, gelateria, espresso bar, and neighborhood market under one roof, with breakfast tacos, morning buns, grab-and-go lunches, and a market stocked with beer, wine, gelato, and fresh-baked pastries. The detail that matters is buried in the Community Impact reporting: the Frisco location will serve as Commissary's flagship and house all bakery and wholesale production for the brand. Every other Commissary output will be fed by Frisco ovens.

That is not a satellite. That is the brand moving its heart to a new zip code.

Tango Room takes the ground floor of The Monarch, HALL Park's luxury apartment tower, next to the 5.7-acre Kaleidoscope Park. The menu pairs classics like New York strip and foie gras with less-expected plates such as lobster corndogs and uni tagliatelle, with a signature caviar martini and a spacious bar with private dining space. Executive chef David Gomez is running the kitchen.

"For several years, Headington Companies has been actively searching for high-impact locations to expand the reach of our restaurant portfolio," said president Michael Tregoning.

Read that sentence carefully. Not "we needed a suburban outpost." High-impact locations. Frisco cleared the same bar as the Design District did a decade ago.

A block south, Muchacho Tex-Mex is taking 600 Gaylord Parkway with a fall 2026 opening. Omar Flores, fresh off Maroma in the Design District, is bringing his third Muchacho after Gloria's Latin Cuisine held the space longer than the original schedule anticipated. Mesquite-fired meats, strong cocktail program, the kind of room that reads as neighborhood on a Tuesday and destination on a Friday.

Firefly Park's 2027 Signal

The bigger long-lead announcement came in late April, from Wilks Development at the corner of US 380 and the Dallas North Tollway. Frenchie, the French-American all-day cafe from Travis Street Hospitality, and Second Rodeo Brewing, restaurateur Jason Boso's Fort Worth Stockyards brewpub, have both signed at the Shops at Firefly Park. Both target fall 2027 alongside Tyler's, phase-one retail, residential, and hotel.

Frenchie carries a résumé line most suburban tenants do not: a 2026 CultureMap Dallas Tastemaker Awards nomination for Best New Restaurant. Co-owners Stephan Courseau and Daniele Garcia are betting the concept translates north.

Phase-one leasing at Firefly stood at 41 percent with another 29 percent under letter of intent when the announcement dropped, so more culinary tenants will land before either restaurant opens its doors. If you want to watch a mixed-use project fill in real time, this is the one.

Fields West Is the Long Horizon

Further along the tollway, the 55-acre urban village at Fields closed a $425 million construction loan and started building in late 2025. Fields West signed a lineup that runs to 16 dining concepts, per PaperCity: New York's Maman (a Texas first), Mastro's, Culinary Dropout, North Italia, plus Design District favorites Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar and Claremont Bar & Grill from the Katz brothers, and FB Society's Mexican Sugar and Sixty Vines. Retail includes Texas's first Bloomie's, Alo Yoga, Arhaus, Kendra Scott, Pottery Barn, Sephora, and Williams Sonoma.

Development is at 70 percent pre-leased as of November 2025, per Visit Frisco, with opening sequenced from Q3 2027 into 2028. This is the horizon line, not the current calendar. But leases are the leading indicator, and the leases are signed.

A Frisco Saturday, Recalibrated

If you want to test the shift yourself before the fall openings hit, here is how a current-inventory Saturday looks:

1. Morning: coffee and a pastry counter run somewhere near The Star, then a lap through Kaleidoscope Park at HALL Park before the crowds.
2. Lunch: Bread Zeppelin if you want fast, Hudson House if you want a booth and a martini before 2 p.m.
3. Late afternoon: Flix Brewhouse for the gold-medal Cumbersome Blonde poured at the source.
4. Dinner: Musume upstairs at The Star, sake list open.

Come November, swap dinner for Tango Room and add a Commissary morning stop the next day. By fall 2027, the same itinerary reroutes through Firefly Park. By 2028, it starts at Fields West.

What This Actually Changes

The dining pipeline is a proxy for something a resident feels before it shows up in any statistic. When Headington moves a flagship, when Travis Street signs a lease, when FB Society picks Fields West over another Uptown block, they are pricing in a decade of household formation that is already here. The restaurants are following the rooftops, but they are also validating them.

For anyone who already lives in Frisco, the practical read is simpler. The commute for a serious dinner just collapsed. The reservation you used to book at 6:30 in the Design District you can now book at 6:45 at HALL Park. That is not a lifestyle upgrade sold in a brochure. It is a Wednesday.
